PUPILS from East Brent First School have wrapped up joy for the world’s largest children’s Christmas project.
Operation Christmas Child, run by the Christian charity Samaritan's Purse, sees students send gift-filled shoeboxes around the world to over 94 million underprivileged children.
Head teacher Nicola Hare said: “We just had to get involved through our Harvest giving this year and have been overwhelmed with the generosity of our children and parents.
“Over 23 jam-packed shoeboxes, beautifully decorated, will be winging their way to children who need some joy this Christmas in Africa, Eastern Europe and Central Asia.
"We will be tracking our boxes through the charity to see where they end their journey.”
