Free safety advice for scooter-users

SCOOTER owners in Sedgemoor are being invited to receive free safety advice and a complementary reflective belt by a car and motorcycle maintenance firm.
Autofit Motoring Centres, based at Wylds Road, is hosting a week of Safe Scooter Sessions from November 26 until December 1 to teach riders about safety and visibility during winter.
Paul Rogers, managing director, said: "In the run-up to the shortest day of the year on December 21, daylight hours are reducing and more and more people will be riding their scooters in the dark.
"One of the key points for this time of year is to make sure you are seen, which is why we are giving out a free reflective safety belt worth £10 to all scooter owners who drop in this week."
