HOLYROOD Academy’s feeder primary schools got on their bikes in a joint venture with the 1st Chard Wheelers cycling club.
The event gave children the chance to have cycle coaching and then to race against pupils from other schools, both as individuals and in teams.
Members of British Cycling and Chard Wheelers Cycling Club led and supported the session aimed at promoting the popular Olympic sport.
School sports co-ordinator Jason Hedaux thanked Brandon Ellis and Chard Wheelers for their enthusiasm and welcomed the community links made between schools and community clubs.
“These links greatly help schools to deliver the competitive nature of sport, creating a legacy from London 2012,” he said.
