RESIDENTS at the Sunnymeade Care Home in Chard can really enjoy a good pampering thanks to the introduction of a new hair and beauty salon.
The home has had a number of improvements carried out, including turning a communal area in the foyer into a salon.
Hairdresser Alison Bennett visits the home in Helliers Close twice a week, and is delighted with the salon’s introduction as it allows her time to spend with the residents without risk of disruption to the rest of those at Sunnymeade.
The home ran a competition for someone to choose the name of the salon, and it was won by staff member Tania Lockley with the aptly named Sunny Salon suggestion.
She was presented with some flowers and a bottle of wine at an opening ceremony.
