NSPCC appeal for collectors
THE NSPCC are appealing for people to give a couple of hours of their time and join a group of enthusiastic young volunteers who are collecting in towns around the county.
The Children's Charity runs over 180 projects across the country including Young Witness Support and Childline in Exeter.
Donna Statham, the charity's community fundraiser said: "We have a group of young men who are raising money for the NSPCC in memory of their 18-year-old school friend Sam, who died suddenly last year. They have already raised £3,500 and their target is £10,000."
"They will be collecting at Cullompton service station over the bank holiday weekend, Cullompton town centre on Saturday May 24, Tiverton town centre on Saturday, June 7 and South Molton on Thursday, June 19"
