BRIDGWATER College has scooped national success for its contribution to further education in the Association of Colleges Beacon Awards.
The annual AoC Beacon Awards are open to all providers of further education and reward innovative and exemplary teaching and learning practice in the further education sector.
The college won the Mercers' Company Award for Science or Mathematics and the British Council Award for International Student Support at the annual AoC conference in Birmingham.
The British Council awarded the college for supporting 132 full-time and several hundred part-time international students.
Bridgwater College's International Centre provides a prayer room for Muslim students as well as information for overseas students.
Home-based students regularly pass through the international centre, which helps integration and understanding.
