About this neighbourhood

map

Exmouth rural West has a population of approximately 6,699. The neighbourhood consists of the villages of Lympstone, Woodbury, Exton, Clyst St Mary, Clyst St George and Farringdon. The population is very varied with new developments appearing in the villages. The boundary area runs up towards Topsham Flats and to the Sandygate roundabout. The Commando training college is located within this ward in Lympstone.

The Neighbourhood Team is made up of PCSO’s Donna Baker and Sarah Trayhurn. It is one of six Neighbourhood Teams supervised by Sergeants’ Southern and Godfrey. The Neighbourhood Team is based at Exmouth police station, which is the main station for the East & Mid Devon Sector.

Exmouth Rural West is a safe place to live with the likelihood of being a victim of crime being well below the national average. In addition the incidents of serious crime are very low indeed. The main problems are parking and speeding issues and spontaneous incidents of vandalism and anti social behaviour. There is a relatively low fear of crime for the area.
