About this neighbourhood
Polsloe and Heavitree wards encompass a large area from Polsloe Rd to East Wonford Hill and from the RD&E Hospital to Prince Charles Rd. The two wards are quite different in their make up. Both have schools and licensed premises of varying types. Polsloe has a population over 6000 which is mainly residential with a high volume of multi occupancy accommodation Heavitree however has an older established community of over 5000 and has its heart around the shops and Heavitree Pleasure Park. Both these areas share similar problems and are being subjected to vandalism especially to parked cars and anti social behaviour involving youths and alcohol which I know the residents don't want. To try and tackle these problems we intend to make ourselves as highly visible as possible to try and improve the situation and make both communities a better place. I'm also looking forward to meeting many of the business owners and leaders of the various groups that are run within these two communities and I urge anyone if they have a problem that they think PCSO Ellen Holah or myself could help them with to contact me on 101 or by email. Finally I am looking forward to the challenges, responsibilities and problems that my areas present and hope that we can all work together for better and safer communities.
