His Dark Materials Part One comes to Brewhouse Theatre

HIS Dark Materials Part One will be performed at Taunton's Brewhouse Theatre and Arts Centre at 7pm.
Adapted from Phillip Pullman's trilogy of the same name, His Dark Materials presents a world where young girl Lyra lives in an Oxford very similar to our own but where people's souls are brought to life as animal companions.
Lyra embarks on an incredible journey to the Arctic having overhead her Uncle, Lord Asriel, arguing with the religious authorities about mysterious “dust”.
Before she leaves she's given a strange device called an Alethiometer which the college deane informs her can tell the truth and uncover lies. Along the way she encounters fantastical creatures in parallel worlds featuring armoured bears, flying witches and child-catching Gobblers.
The performance runs until Saturday, August 25.
