Taunton Show and Motor Show 2012 this Sunday

THE Taunton Show and Motor Show 2012 will take place at Taunton School on Sunday.

The free show, hosted by the County Gazette and Taunton School, will see top car dealers, such as Audi, BMW, Vauxhall, Toyota and Nissan showing off their latest models.

Visitors can even get behind the wheel before hearing all about the deals on offer.

There will be a display of classic and kit cars, and the Rocket Racers competition featuring air-powered cars built by pupils from six Somerset schools.

It’s not all about cars, though – children can enjoy activities including a climbing wall, horse and dray rides, and a static falconry display.

Go Commando, in association with 40 Commando, will run the Challenge 40 competition, allowing groups of eight to take on the marines in a test of teamwork, stamina and quick thinking – for details, call Debbie Howarth on 01460-234952 or email deb@go commando.org.uk Food and refreshments will be available, and there will be free parking.

The show, from 10am to 3pm, is sponsored by Silver Street Automotive, dealers in Audi, VW and Seat.

Go Commando, which supports 40 Commando, will benefit from the show.
