A WEEKEND of celebration is planned in June as Bridgwater Methodist Church marks its 100th anniversary.
The church opened in April 1911 and it will be hosting a charity concert by the Cheddar Male Choir and guest harpist Elaine Thorneycroft-Gibb on June 11.
The weekend commences with a coffee morning and bring and buy sale on the morning of June 11, followed by a celebratory service led by Rev Stuart Innalls on June 12.
A Songs of Praise style service will be held in the evening at 6.30pm, conducted by superintendent minister Rev Bruce Thompson.
Tickets for the choir concert on June 11, which starts at 7pm, are priced at £7.50 for adults and £5 for under-16s. They are available on 01278-458371, or on the door.
Tickets include interval refreshments and proceeds will go to Action for Children.
