Dulverton Films will screen a biopic of legendary French fashion designer Coco Chanel in Dulverton town hall on Friday, February 11 at 7.30pm. Coco before Chanel stars Audrey Tatou in the title role and tells the extraordinary and colourful story of the rise of Gabrielle Chanel from her childhood in a French orphanage, through her youth scratching a living singing in bars, to rubbing shoulders with the rich and famous before achieving mega-stardom as the most influential fashion icon of the 20th century.Victoria Thomas, Dulverton Films co-organiser, said: “Sometimes you can't beat a good story well told. Coco before Chanel is just one of those films that's hard to fault.

“It has all the ingredients of good entertainment - convincing performances all round and a real-life success story of human endeavour and determination that makes you believe that anything is possible.”The film is in English and French with subtitles and is open to Dulverton Films members and their guests only.

Tickets can be booked in advance at Dulverton Post Office, priced £2 for members and £4 for guests.

Doors open from 7pm and light refreshments, including wine, will be available.
