John Lennon biopic screened this week

PETHERTON Picture Show presents John Lennon biopic Nowhere Boy at the David Hall, South Petherton, on Friday.

The film documents Lennon’s adolescent years growing in Liverpool and the gradual evolution of his first band, The Quarrymen, which eventually morphed into The Beatles.

It marked the directorial debut of artist Sam Taylor-Wood and was nominated for four BAFTAs, including Outstanding British Film, at this year’s awards ceremony.

The screening starts 8pm are admission is £5.
