PREPARE to be transported to an enchanted land with a genie and plenty of song and dance if you visit the Princess Theatre over the next week.

The Burnham District Pantomime Society is gearing up to perform Aladdin at The Princess Theatre and Arts Centre in Burnham-on-Sea.

It’s a traditional pantomime, featuring a poor boy, an evil baddie, a genie, a Chinese policemen, a soapy dopey dame and a ‘Dim’ son.

A spokesperson for the society said: “The show is lively, colourful, full of music, song and dance.”

Performances start on Friday, January 27 at 7pm; and continue on Saturday, January 28 and Sunday January 29 at 3pm; and Tuesday, January 31 to Saturday, February 4 at 7pm.

Tickets cost £11, £9 for concessions and £7 for children.
