TWO top teams are joining forces to deliver a splendid arts feast.

Boomsatsuma Presents and Nether Stowey Party In The Park will host a free festival warm up event to get you in the mood for one of the hottest, local festivals later in the summer.

It promises an exciting night of quality music featuring festival headliner Littermouth and three local support acts - Stone Cold Fiction, Jonny Morgan and Chloë Warren.

Some of the best of emerging talent from Somerset will also have the last opportunity this year to buy discounted festival tickets.

Each support act will play to a panel of judges from the festival committee and Dave from Sedgemoor FM, if the judges like what they hear, all or some of the acts will be offered slots on a stage at Nether Stowey Party in the Park festival in June.

"We wanted to run a promotional event both to give Bridgwater a taster of the great event to come but also to give locally based artists the opportunity to show what we would miss if we did not include them in our international line-up," said festival organiser, Dave Davison.

Following a busy 2015 with performances at Farmfest and Bristol Harbour Festival, Stone Cold Fiction launched their debut EP to a sell-out audience at The Thunderbolt, Bristol.

This year, the band will be recording in the studio as they prepare for their next release. The three-piece have just been confirmed to support US legends Lionize at Thekla in May as well as more shows due to be announced this summer.

Jonny Morgan belongs in a jazz bar during the 1920’s, his bellowing voice is reminiscent of a vintage blues singer and he crafts vocals akin to modern day mega-stars Hozier and George Ezra. This Bristol-based singer songwriter will grab your attention with his contemporary twist on acoustic roots music, combined with melodic hooks that will stay in your head for days.

Chloë Warren is a young musician and singer songwriter who has been described as “one of the most hardworking musicians in the area” and a “prolific songwriter” by both Basis Magazine and Glastonbury FM. At the age of 23 Chloë has already performed at over 60 local venues and festivals as a soloist and with her fantastic backing band.

Sunday, May 1 at 8pm. Bridgwater Arts Centre.
