TOPETTE is a new Anglo-French folk/traditional dance music band formed by Barnaby Stradling and multiple BBC Folk Awards winner Andy Cutting – both of folk band Blowzabella.
The band is on a short UK tour which includes Halsway Manor on Tuesday November 24.
Topette (which translates as cheers!) describe what they do as music for filling dance floors and drinking with friends – but don’t expect it to merge into the background. This is up-all-night, joyously jugular grabbing dance music.
The group include Barnaby Stradling, acoustic bass guitar, Andy Cutting, diatonic button accordion, James Delarre, violin, Julien Cartonnet, bagpipes, banjo and Tania Buisse, bodhrán
