THE Brewhouse has a double treat in store featuring the Raymond Briggs’ magical Christmas Story to look forward to.

On Sunday November 22, there are two cinema screenings of The Snowman in the main house, accompanied by a 27-piece Orchestra (courtesy of Southern Sinfonia) and singing by local children who have auditioned and been especially selected to take part. Tickets are £8.50. Showings at 2pm & 4pm.

Emma Webber, Marketing Manager for The Brewhouse & Southern Sinfonia said: “This is a wonderful opportunity to bring together our resident professional orchestra for the first time since their sell out inaugural concert in early October, with what is probably the most popular Christmas Children’s story of all time.

"The children that are taking part in this are truly remarkable, and all parts combined, it does make for something quite magical”.

Other Icy Treats include the infectious “Let it Go” from Disney’s Frozen and older classics such as Tchaikovsky's The Nutcracker and Musical Sleigh-Ride by Leopold Mozart.

*On the same day in the Creative Hub at the theatre, there are lantern making workshops at 11am & 1pm.

This is a free free family event although booking is recommended.

All materials are provided. There is a maximum number of 12 families per workshop and booking in advance (online or from the box office) is highly recommended.

The Theme is based upon the Brewhouse Family Christmas Production of Merlin’s Apprentice. All lanterns (and children) will be asked to then take part in the River of Light Parade on December 12. The parade starts at 5pm from the Brewhouse Theatre and will end in Castle Green at 5.30pm.
