IT was the song that started Aled Jones' career and Idina Menzel has risen to stardom after performing the vocals for Disney's Elsa.

Now the Brewhouse in Taunton is looking for the youthful stars of the future to sing two iconic songs, Walking in the Air and Let it Go.

The theatre's resident professional orchestra, Southern Sinfonia, is looking for children, aged between 6 and 13, to perform at a special event.

Southern Sinfonia will be performing live music to accompany a screening of Raymond Briggs’ Christmas

classic, The Snowman on Sunday, November 22.

As part of that performance, the orchestra is looking for talented children to audition to sing, Walking in the Air.

But that’s not all. They’re also looking for girls who can fill Elsa’s shoes and sing Let it Go from the Disney smash-hit, Frozen.

Jonathan Manners, CEO of Southern Sinfonia said: "You don't need to be a professional. You just need to have passion, confidence and a great voice.

"If you know a budding performer who loves to sing then this is the perfect opportunity for them to perform with a live, full orchestra in front of a packed theatre."

Auditions take place at the Brewhouse on Saturday, October 3 at 12 noon and children will be seen on a first come basis. They should be prepared to sing either the chorus of Let it Go or We’re walking in the

Air with a pianist from Southern Sinfonia.

Children need to be free to rehearse on Monday’s at 5pm throughout November and be free on November 21 and 22.

Advance registration is not compulsory, but the orchestra would be grateful to hear from those planning to

attend. Please send the child’s name, age and details of their school to info@southernsinfonia.co.uk.
