IT'S only rock 'n' roll - but, forsooth, not as we know it.

Author Terry Pratchett loved mixing the modern world with his fictional, medieval Discworld.

Verily, he did that so well in his novel, Soul Music, which the Wellington Theatre Company has adapted into a

a musical play.

It tells the hilarious and rather mad story of how rock 'n' roll arrived in Discworld and features the music of artists such as Elvis, Chuck Berry, Deep Purple and Jimmy Hendrix.

The large, talented cast, most of whom will be familiar to Wellington and Taunton audiences, play multiple roles including dwarves, trolls, wizards and druids.

You can catch this crazy debut at the Wellington Arts Centre from September 2 -5, with a Saturday matinee.

Tickets £8, available online from www.ticketsource.co.uk/wellingtonartscentre Tel:0844 997 9000 or from Nurtured by Nature, South St, Wellington.

Not to be missed, m'lady.
