SOUTH African baritone and 2010 Kathleen Ferrier Award-winning Njabulo Madlala will bring his voice of rare distinction and beauty to the Simonsbath Festival in a concert at St Luke’s Church, Simonsbath, on Sunday May 17 at 4pm.

Njabulo Madlala will be accompanied by pianist Chad Vindin in a dazzlingly diverse programme featuring Schubert lieder, African-American spirituals, English ballads and traditional South African folk songs.

Tickets cost £15 to reserve the seat of your choice and £10 for unreserved seating (student/unemployed £7.50).

Admission is free for 14 year olds and under.

On Wednesday May 20 at 7.30pm Tracey Elliot-Reep gives an illustrated presentation about her horse riding adventures in distant lands.

Tracey’s horseback adventures include travelling solo through New Zealand, across southern Europe, Ireland, from Scotland to the southernmost point of England and from Mexico to Canada.

Simonsbath Festival runs from May 4 to June 19.
