BRIDGWATER Choral Society cordially invites all who enjoy singing to join them at their Come and Sing Day at Wembdon Parish Church on Saturday, February 21.

They will be singing Mozart’s Solemn Vespers (K339) under the expert leadership of their conductor, Iain Cooper.

Solemn Vespers is extrovert, bouncy music, a joy to perform whether you’re an experienced singer or an amateur listener.

If you’ve been considering joining Bridgwater Choral Society, this is an ideal way of meeting them and finding out what a friendly group they are.

This is a fun, informal day, and by the end of it there will be a scratch performance of this lively, exuberant piece, a wonderful example of Mozart’s genius.

Tickets are £12, which includes music hire and tea and coffee.

The day begins at 9.30am, singing starts at 10am, and finishes at 4pm, with tea/coffee and lunch breaks. Singers are advised to take a packed lunch, which you can eat in the parish room opposite the church.

There’s plenty of parking space.

Call Sue Brownlie on 01278- 722344 or email suebrownlie@ gmail.com to book your ticket or to get more information. Bridgwater Choral Society looks forward to seeing you.
