THE Circus of Horrors hits Somerset on Thursday  to mark its 20th anniversary in spectacular style.

Few tickets remain for tomorrow night’s showpiece, The Night of the Zombie.

The last few years has seen the profile of The Circus of Horrors soar after flying through to the finals of Britain’s Got Talent.

Subsequent TV show appearances for this talented troupe have meant it is well on the way to becoming a household name.

Such is its popularity, the show became the first to appear in a West End theatre for 100 years.

It started at the 1995 Glastonbury Festival and has toured all over the world.

This latest extravaganza is set in 2020, a decrepit and corpse-ridden London, plagued by a swamp of Zombies. In a city ruled by the un-dead, the show climaxes in an awesome flaming apocalypse.

The story twists and turns with grisly murders and sensational shocks – all interwoven with some of the greatest and most bizarre circus acts on earth.

Strap yourselves in for a showcase of sword-swallowers, knifethrowers, daredevil balancing acts, astounding aerialists, a demon dwarf, a Guinness World Record-holding hair hanging beauty, acrobats and much more.

Performed by an almighty cast with a forked tongue firmly in each cheek, this show is sure to have you on the edge of your seat and grimacing behind your fingers in equal measure.

The performance is at the Octagon Theatre in Yeovil on Thursday at 7.30pm and tickets start at £20 – for more information visit octagon-theatre.co.uk or call 01935-422884.
