TOP saxophone player Alan Barnes will be visiting Ilminster Arts Centre on Friday (November 28).
He will be playing mainstream jazz with his own Quintet, featuring Bruce Adams and The Dave Newton Trio.
He is many times winner of the British Jazz Awards and has worked with many different musicians, including Humphrey Lyttelton, Don Weller, Stan Tracey and John Dankworth, the BBC Big Band and the Tina May Trio.
He has also appeared on albums by Van Morrison, Bryan Ferry and Selina Jones as a session musician, and was the BBC Instrumentalist of the Year in 2001 and 2006.
The event starts at 8pm and tickets cost £18.
