UPCOMING folk talent Sunjay Brayne is heading to the Ritz Acoustic Club this month as he nears the end of his popular nationwide tour.
Winner of the Wath Festival Young Performers Award and Nominated for the BBC Radio 2 Young Folk Award, the 20-year-old has caught the eyes and ears of many venues and festivals across the country.
Reminiscent of early Ralph McTell, Sunjay's performances have been described as “mature & confident”, while his guitar playing has been hailed as “superb, brilliant, experienced, intricate & faultless”.
Sunjay clocked over a hundred tour dates in 2013 supporting the likes of Martin Simpson, Passenger, and Terry Reid.
The budding musician already has three albums to his name, ‘Seems So Real’, ‘One Night Only’ and the most recent ‘Sunjay’, which was released in September 2014.
The self titled album features Sunjay at his finest, collaborating with musicians including producer Eddy Morton (The Bushbury Mountain Daredevils), Liam Genockey (Steeleye Span), Katriona Gilmore (Gilmore & Roberts), Dan Walsh (Walsh & Pound), Sarah Smout (The Gren Bartley Band), and Charlie Barker.
Sunjay’s On The Road Tour will arrive in Burnham on November 20, 8pm-11pm.
Tickets cost £4 on the door. For more information call 01278-794123 or visit www.ritz-burnham.co.uk
