TO mark the centenary of the outbreak of the First World War, the Princess Theatre and Arts Centre in Burnham is presenting a piece of original theatre, PASSION – Line of Departure, which tells five stories of soldiers and families 100 years apart.

The Heritage Lottery Funded play is performed by the AsOne Theatre Company.

After researching the lives of war heroes in the South-West, AsOne has, through letters, documentaries and interviews, come up with a powerful performance that follows the lives of four real characters and one fictional character.

Written by playwright Stephanie Dale and directed by Peter Leslie Wild, PASSION features music and song to present a poignant, sometimes funny and surprising take on war.

It will come to The Princess on Friday, October 17, at 7.30pm. Standard tickets are £12/Friends £11/concessions £10/students £7.

The Princess Theatre is also offering a buy-one-get-one-free deal for any service or ex-service personnel, History Society members and students.
