A WEDDING fair helping couples living with terminal illness celebrate their big day is being held in Bridgwater on Sunday, September 21.
Naomi Thomas, 31, of Wellington, who has secondary breast cancer, founded the Wedding Wishing Well Foundation in 2012 to organise and fund weddings for those affected by terminal and life-limiting illnesses.
Naomi was diagnosed at the age of 26, just days after Graham, the “love of her life”, now 34, had proposed.
A few months later, having been declared cancer-free, she was told the disease was back, and no longer curable.
She has been determined to spread the joy she had been lucky enough to experience on her big day, since then by setting up the WWWF.
The fair, which starts at 11am, and now being held at Bridgwater Rugby Club, is a collaborative effort between the Foundation and Griffens Carnival Club.
Admission costs £1 and visitors will get a free goodie bag.
