A 1950s’-style version of Shakespeare’s comedy The Taming Of The Shrew comes to Cannington’s Walled Gardens next month.
Folksy Theatre return to the landscaped surrounds on Friday, August 1, at 7pm, following the success of last year’s tour of Romeo and Juliet.
The players have transferred the Bard’s famous and contentious comedy into fifties’ Britain, for a show|filled with doo-wop, combed-back hair and fedoras.
Visitors are invited to take their picnics, blankets, folding chairs and friends and family for this minimalist|open-air show that makes the most of the garden backdrop.
Tickets priced £12 (£8 concessions) are available from folksytheatre.co.uk or are £15 (£10 concessions) on the door.
