SATURDAY’S charity event for a young Bridgwater mum suffering with an extremely rare tumour hopes to send her on an extra-special trip with her husband.

Natalie Sears, 25, of Bridgwater, is receiving treatment at St Margaret's Hospice in Taunton for an "aggressive" angiomyxoma.

So rare is the tumour that case studies are few and far between.

On Saturday Sydenham Community Centre will rally the masses to fundraise the £700 needed to give Natalie and her husband Wayne a two-night holiday at Dunstable's Whipsnade Zoo.

The zoo has been one of Natalie's favourite haunts since childhood.

A full day of pampering and fun is in store for visitors, with games and face painting, cream teas, bric-a-brac, foot and hand massages and manicures, an on-site tattooist.

The charity day will run from 10am until 6pm at the community centre.

Any proceeds left beyond the cost of the trip will go to St Margaret's Hospice.
