IMPRESSIONIST artists of a literal kind are on show at Musgrove Park Hospital’s in-house gallery.

Print-makers have taken a look at the process of making impressions to create their prints, in a spread of work hanging in the hospital.

And a full spectrum of print-making techniques is on show: woodcuts, monoprints, etching, photo-etching and digital.

Sara Dudman, curator at the Musgrove Gallery, said: “We’re inviting visitors to explore the similarities and differences between printing and image-creation for artistic and scientific purposes, and also demonstrates the wide range of materials and processes used in practice to aid patients’ recovery.”

Angela Naunton-Davies, Bronwen Bradshaw, Jacy Wall, Ros Marchant, Jane Mowat, Jenny Graham, Pennie Elfick, Susan Gradwell, Tony Martin and Vera Sheaf, make up the spread of showcased artists.

‘Art For Life’ is open 24 hours per day in The Musgrove Gallery, in the link between the Queens and Duchess Buildings, Musgrove Park Hospital, Taunton.
