CALLING all playwrights! The Somerset Fellowship of Drama is running its annual Original Playwriting Competition for one-act plays.
Script submissions must be sent in the form of printed sheets rather than electronic media by September 9.
Entries cost £15 for SFD members and £20 for non-members.
Further entry details are available by downloading an entry form from the website at somersetdrama.org.uk where you will also find a copy of the rules for the competition.
A panel of readers will select a shortlist of five or six scripts, from which a winner and two runners-up will be selected.
The author of the winning script will be awarded a cash prize of £100 and a silver trophy.
Two highly commended runners-up will receive £25 each and a certificate.
The competition doesn’t end there – up to three of the shortlisted scripts will be given the chance to be performed at the County Drama Festival in March, 2015.
