CORSETS, contortionists, music, theatre, the art of striptease – all are on offer at Yeovil Octagon’s Evening of Burlesque on Friday, March 28.
Ticket holders will be spellbound by the power of the show, says hoola-hooper Storm Hooper.
“It’s a great mixture,” Storm tells the County Gazette, “not only of burlesque performances, but styles – it contains a lot for a short show.
“A lot of people come thinking it’s going to be strippers and get completely wowed by what it actually is.”
With the cast drawn from the West End, coming to Somerset is a refreshing contrast, says Storm.
“It’s great taking burlesque out of London – to show people what burlesque is really about and appreciate it.”
The performance, for over-18s, starts at 8pm and the most glamorous audience member will win a prize.
Tickets cost £22 on 01935-422884 or at www.octagon-theatre.co.uk
