Katy Perry's new Brit beau Rob Ackroyd is apparently set to move to Los Angeles to be nearer the star.

Firework singer Katy - who split from funnyman husband Russell Brand last year - was spotted kissing Florence + The Machine guitarist Rob at the Coachella festival in the US in April, and the pair are now said to be dating.

The Mirror reports that London-based Rob is set to pack his bags and head Stateside in a bid to make things work with Katy.

A source told the newspaper: "Rob is making the move overseas towards the end of the year. It seems really sudden but it's now or never for them.

"They've spent the majority of the past few months apart so in one way it will actually be a test of their relationship to be around each other so much."

Katy recently revealed she still has faith in love, despite her painful break-up from Russell.

She said: "I still believe in love, most definitely. I'm just going to let that take the lead."
