Love Riot returns to Sandsifter Love Riot returns to Sandsifter

After a long break, Love Riot returns to Sandsifter, Gwithian, for a massive Bank Holiday showdown.

Headlining the night on Sunday, August 26, will be Louis La Roche who, at 21, is already being hailed as the next great hero for the British dance music scene.

Louis La Roche has appeared on compilations from Ministry of Sound and Annie Mac Presents as well as Channel Four’s Skins. His latest track Untrue, featuring rapper Ad-Apt, is reminiscent of noughties French house classics from the likes of Modjo or Stardust and the warm laid-back groove is a million miles from the fury of today’s Guetta-fuelled dance scene.

Alongside Louis, in the main room, will be local crowdpleaser Ry Spenceley fresh back from playing at Lulu’s, Jeremy Healy’s new Mayfair Club.

Musical oddballs The Barons of Funk will also shore up the main room while taking over the lounge bar will be a host of West Cornwall's finest party starters - Dappa Dubs, Louis J, Paul Weschka and Chris Jefferies To celebrate the recent London Olympics, the performance troupe Zodiac will be entertaining with a live show of floor and aerial skills. Zodiac, who hail from Eastern Europe, combine lycra-clad gymnastic elegance with g-string acrobatic stunts to present a show that is both exhilarating and exciting.

With all the past events selling out, Love Riot’s Sandsifter parties need no introduction. So get ready for the Love Riot discobus to touch back down once again at one of the South West’s most legendary venues.

As is often the way at Love Riot, there's no dress theme as such yet if you feel the urge to indulge in some self-decoration on the night, then go for it - the more weird and wonderful the better.
