The UK's number one Oasis tribute band are heading to St Ives this summer.

Having played sold-out shows at the O2 Academy Islington, Factory Manchester and Glasgow's legendary Barrowland Ballroom, Definitely Oasis are widely regarded as the best Oasis tribute out there.

And now, as part of a nationwide tour which sees them stopping off at some iconic venues across the UK, the band have announced that they will be performing live at St Ives Guildhall on Saturday, June 15.

With Liam and Noel Gallagher unlikely to reunite any time soon, Definitely Oasis are keeping the sound and vibe alive, performing a two-hour set packed with Oasis classics.

June 15 at St Ives Guildhall will be the band’s only gig in Cornwall this summer and with earlybird tickets already gone this is expected to be a sell-out show.

The original Oasis signed to independent record label Creation Records in 1993, releasing their record-setting debut album Definitely Maybe in 1994.

The following year, as Britpop ruled British culture and the pop charts, the band recorded (What's the Story) Morning Glory? as they went head-to-head in a chart rivalry with Blur.

(What's the Story) Morning Glory? became one of the best-selling albums of all time, selling more than 22 million copies worldwide.

In 1996, Oasis performed two nights at Knebworth for an audience of 125,000 each night, which were at the time the largest outdoor concerts in UK history.

In 1997, Oasis released their third album, Be Here Now.

They eventually had a total of eight number one albums and the same number of chart-topping singles.

Standard tickets for Definitely Oasis at St Ives are £14.95 and can be purchased online via skiddle.com, or in person at St Ives Visitor Information Centre, Gabriel Street. Buying in advance is advised to avoid missing out.

This is an 18+ event.

Doors open at 7pm and the event ends 11pm.
