The county’s best known playwright and filmmaker is to be celebrated by the Hall For Cornwall.
Nick Darke’s work will be performed throughout 2018 and 2019 which marks what would have been his 70th year.
Bec Applebee will perform Darke Women with Anna Murphy (Kneehigh), Mary Woodvine (Poldark) and Sharon Andrews (Scary Little Girls).
They will bring some of Nick’s memorable female characters together for the first time.
This will be a robust encounter of strong willed women crossing the centuries, from dynamite makers and smugglers to wetsuit and brandy experts.
Nick's wife Jane said: “It’s wonderful to be able to share this birthday with so many talented people, some who knew him personally but many who have come to know him through performance of his work.”
