A MUSIC and dance production about warrior women that has been choreographed by a martial arts expert will be performed at The Poly in Falmouth on Wednesday, June 6.
Resonance is a coming of age tale set to music in 11 concert pieces by renowned violinist and composer Alison Jones.
Alison was inspired by a trip to the Scottish island of Skye where she heard the tale of a Celtic queen named Scáthach who rules a tribe of formidable women and ran a training academy for young warriors.
She created a largely female production team for Resonance, from Celtic harp virtuoso Hattie Webb to choreographer and martial artist Cecily Fay, who adds a a dynamic element to the performance with her interpretation of the music in a blend of dance, martial arts and acrobatics.
Resonance be shown at The Poly on Wednesday June 6 at 7.30pm.
Tickets are £12 or £10 concession, and can be booked by visiting thepoly.org or calling 01326 319461.
