There's less than one week to go until Boardmasters 2017, and although weekend tickets are now sold out, there's still a chance to join the party on Friday and Sunday.

As well as world-class acts including Two Door Cinema Club, The Flaming Lips, Frank Turner, Alt-J and Stormzy, and huge international surfing names taking to Fistral Beach, the festival will also be feature after parties, day sessions, beach sessions and brand-new activities such as The Funderdome, yoga and The Wild Oyster restaurant.

Boardmasters has teamed up once again with the World Surf League as 100 of the biggest names in surfing from 20 countries around the world descend on the UK’s surf mecca Fistral Beach for the hotly-anticipated surf competition. It’s free to attend and watch as surf pros battle it out for the coveted Boardmasters prize.

Fistral Beach will also play host to skating and BMX on the CANNA Ramp and an array of live music with the day sessions, which are open to all and free to attend, as well as the beach sessions which are selling fast.

Cornwall’s very own Lee Skeet is hosting The Wild Oyster Restaurant at Watergate Bay, cooking up a menu made up of fresh, locally-sourced Cornish produce for breakfast, lunch and dinner across the festival weekend. Situated in the main arena and overlooking the picture-perfect Cornish coast, The Wild Oyster is the place to be for a relaxing, delicious escape where you can experience a feast for the eyes as well as the taste buds.

After the party, there’s the after-party. For those who don’t want to fun to end once the headliners come off stage, the Boardmasters After Dark parties are back, running from Thursday to Sunday across three different venues in Newquay town centre, with the likes of Tom Zanetti & K.O. Kane, Flava D, Jack Swift, Solardo, Bronx Cheer to entertain into the early hours.

new this year is #ROXYFITNESS Morning Yoga, looking out across the Watergate Bay, Roxy will be holding morning yoga sessions for an empowering start to the day.

Bearded Kitten is bringing The Funderdome, a bespoke, interactive stage to Boardmasters 2017 for the very first time. A wild twist on Mad Max’s Thunderdome, the stage is a dome shaped structure that will become the pinnacle of all silliness and spectacle. Expect to see lively morning disco aerobics sessions, colour paint fights and never-before-seen fire shows into the night.
