Brexit, benefits, and broken homes are just some of the issues discussed in Remedies, the latest offering from playwright Matt Roberts.

Set within the walls of a high-street chemist, the play is a perfect blend of comedy and drama, featuring two central characters who juxtapose each other beautifully, bickering fluently from their own individual high horse.

Well-written, with fine performances from capable actors who dish out politically themed jokes.

The production managed to captivate audiences when it appeared at The Poly last month, performed flawlessly by the cast of five from the Middle Weight Theatre Company.

Performers in the show include Matt Roberts as Martin, Al Wadlan as David, Louise Merrington as Justine and Charlie and Nicola Killen as the shop customers, and the show was directed by Tom Stabb.

The Middle Weight theatre company will be returning to the Poly in Autumn with two one-act plays.
