A theatre group, made up of students from Falmouth University, is launching a new play.

Entitled 1994, the show revolves around two central characters who find themselves 'inextricably linked in a never-ending loop of hunger and forgetfulness'.

The show will be performed at the Stuart Stephen Memorial Hall, and runs from May 20 until May 22, with doors opening at 7.15pm.

Each showing has a capacity of 50 per night and seats will be on a first come first served basis.

The show runs for around one hour and 45 minutes, including an interval.

New Pantheon Club bill themselves as a mixed arts collective, and 1994 is the first full scale collaborative piece from the group.

They describe the show as a coming together of visual artists, designers, writers, film makers and directors.

A spokesperson said: "In creating this new play we felt it was important to produce it in the centre of the local community and for it to be accessible to both theatre goers and people who many not consider themselves theatre goers.

"We believe passionately that theatre, and all cultural creations, should invite a diverse audience and encourage dialogue between diverse groups of people.

"To aid this we are using a Pay What You Decide ticket scheme.

"The scheme works by enabling audiences to attend shows without paying for a ticket beforehand.

"On exiting the show, you have the opportunity to make a donation of what you decide you want to, or can afford to pay, based on your overall enjoyment of the performance."
