Acclaimed singer, bassist and songwriter Miranda Sykes is returning to her roots, after a career spanning over 20 years.

During her long career Miranda has played with many of the top musicians and singers within the folk world.

But now she will be touring as she first started out, on her own with a bass guitar and a regular guitar.

Borrowed Places is her debut solo album and draws its inspirations primarily from the songs and landscape of her home county of Lincolnshire.

The new album will be out on May 1, and Miranda will be touring the country showing the album.

She will be playing at St Ives Arts Club on May 14, and any one who may want a ticket should call 01736 799305, or visit stivesartsclub.org.
