The Carnon Downs Drama Group is going on tour with The Woman Who Cooked Her Husband - a tragi-comic tale of deceit, envy, lust, jealousy, revenge and interesting recipes.

Fast-paced and full of savage wit, this story of self-destructive relationships will take the audience on a wild emotional journey through the conflicting needs and desires of Hilary, played by Tabitha Lammas; Kenneth, Tim Wing; and Laura, Penny Mergler - the wife, her husband and his lover.

Following their success in collaboration with the Royal Shakespeare Company in A Midsummer Night’s Dream at the Hall for Cornwall last year, Carnon Downs Drama Group are taking the production on tour to selected venues in mid-Cornwall.

The show will be staged at Perranarworthal Village Hall on April 14 and 15; at Chacewater Village Hall on April 12; Mabe Community Hall the next night; at St Austell Arts Centre on April 28 and Illogan Village Hall on April 29.

Tickets are available online at ticketsource.co.uk/cddg or by calling the box office on 03454 500296.

Director Mark Breach said: “We are an up and coming, yet local drama group, with big ambitions. Taking a show on tour is a new venture for us and we are very excited by the prospect of reaching out to new audiences in Cornwall.”
