Truro Cathedral has launched its 2017 organ recital series which will continue each Friday at 1.10pm until mid-October. Each week the cathedral will fill with an audience anticipating some wonderful playing from one of the great musical instruments to be found in the country.

The Father Willis organ is deemed by many national and international organists to have a magical sound and quality that lifts it above others. David Davies launched the series last week.

"In the weeks and months following this opening recital, our series will be in full swing, with lots of top names booked to come and play on Fridays between now and October," said a spokesman for the cathedral. "Don’t miss this chance to hear the mighty Father Willis organ like you’ve never heard it before."

A full listing of the recitals can be downloaded from the cathedral website, trurocathedral.org.uk. The series is free to attend but a suggested donation is asked for to help cover costs.
