Dick Whittington will be packing up his bundle and heading to Hayle this half term, accompanied by his cat of course.

Pool based Centenary Drama Group and CD Kids are bringing the pantomime to Hayle Community School, between February 15 and 18.

The drama group has gone from strength-to-strength, and gathering many awards from the Cornwall Drama Association. In 2016 members were extremely proud to have been awarded the coveted title of Best Pantomime for the second time in four years, for their rendition of Frankenstein: The Panto, and they also scooped Best Director and special awards for a shadow theatre scene and props.

This year Dick Whittington promises to provide audience members with another fantastic performance. Director Zena Clemens, along with Geraldine Richards - who have both graced the stage, as well as supported, choreographed, directed and produced many shows for the group - has worked closely with the costume and choreography teams to create lively dance numbers and stunning costumes, so fun and laughter are guaranteed.

Tickets, priced £8 for adults or £6 for under 16s, are on sale from Just in Fabrics in Camborne on 01209 715 211, or online at ticketsource.co.uk/event/167086 with reductions for larger group bookings. Refreshments are available at all shows.

The first show is Wednesday, February 15, at 7.30pm, and there will be a matinee on Saturday, February 18, at 2.30pm.
