Songs from one of the biggest British bands of the 70s and 80s will be ringing out around the Princess Pavilion later this month when From The Jam featuring Bruce Foxton take to the stage.

The gig, which will include support from DJ Lee Grimshaw, will kick off the Pavilion's 2017 live events' programme in style on Thursday, January 26.

The line-up features Bruce Foxton, who was the bass player in The Jam and Stiff Little Fingers. He and drummer Rick Buckler were the driving force, power and rhythm section behind singer, guitarist and songwriter Paul Weller in The Jam.

After recently watching From The Jam, Jeremy Vine said on his BBC Radio2 show: "Just come back from an absolutely cracking gig. From The Jam are the closest you can get to seeing The Jam play. Russell Hastings performs Weller's songs with such power and finesse (he's a lovely guy too).

"Bruce Foxton is just extraordinary on the bass - but then he always was. To my great regret I never saw The Jam live, but tonight in Guildford, almost the band's home town, I felt I was there in front of the originals but with something added by the new musicians too. All my friends were blown away by this band - you must see them if you can."

The gig at the Princess Pavilion starts at 8pm and is standing only. Tickets cost £20 and are available from the Pavilion box office on 01326 211222. Or you can book online at princesspavilion.co.uk or SeeTickets.com.
