THE STAVES have been making waves since their debut album was released in 2012 and now with a new EP and tour calling in at Falmouth.

The Blood I Bled EP features a change in direction, yest the sisters haven't abandoned their beautiful, signature close harmonies, but they have bolstered them with a clutch of multi-layered, hugely ambitious songs, recorded with the scale and confidence that can only come after three years on the road.

That same road brings them to Falmouth Princess Pavilion on November 4.

Having tours the world including appearing alongside Mumford & Sons during their Glastonbury headlining slot in 2013 and several tours with American cult heroes Bon Iver, the sisters formed a strong friendships with the Ivor’s founder Justin Vernon.

Vernon has been working with The Staves' to produce their second album If I Was, which was recorded in Wisconsin. The result is said to be as stunning as the snow-covered landscape it was recorded in. Deeply personal to each sister, fuelled by heartbreak and individual turbulence, it's also full of hope, redemption and positivity for an uncertain future.

The Staves play the Princess Pavilion in Falmouth on Wednesday, November 4.
