Cornwall Air Ambulance has been awarded £750 towards core running costs by Penryn Town Council.
Councillors allocated the Section 137 community grant money at a time when the charity is moving from operating one helicopter to running two, and extending its operating period into the hours of darkness.
Last year the council gave the charity £500, although Councillor Martin Mullins suggested this year the donation be raised “to allow for inflation and costs.”
