Occupying a delightful rural location, amidst a small, select former farmstead of just 4 other properties, a stunning, detached, single-storey 'eco' cottage, constructed to an extremely high standard c. 2010, with exceptional levels of insulation and energy efficiency, combined with the use of natural materials and the provision of sustainable and environmentally friendly services.

Constructed by our clients c. 2010, 'Fearn' is a 'high-end eco build', of the highest standard and with much use of natural materials including attractive granite-clad elevations with cut slate sills, under a pitched roof of natural slate with quality Lindab rainwater goods.

The building has incorporated extremely high levels of insulation resulting in an A rating of 120, meaning extremely low lighting, heating and hot water costs. Triple glazing is featured throughout with under-floor heating provided by a communal ground source heat pump, supplemented with solar panelling, and with solar thermal roof panels providing cost effective hot water. A shared borehole water supply is provided, and there is a 'reed-bed' sewerage system, also on a shared maintenance basis.

Internal features include oak flooring, oak skirtings, architraves and window sills, vaulted ceilings with exposed beams, a bespoke hand-built oak kitchen with appliances, and contemporary white shower room with travertine marble flooring.

Throughout, the accommodation is light, bright, contemporary and extremely well proportioned and will, no doubt, prove of immense appeal to permanent and retirement buyers alike. We therefore strongly recommend a viewing appointment to fully appreciate the quality, setting and extremely efficient nature of this delightful home.
