BUSINESSWOMAN Sandra Joyce was celebrating this week after her two care homes received the top rating possible in an inspection.

Churchview, in Taunton, and Linden House, in Westford, near Wellington, both scooped a three star excellent' in the Commission for Social Care Inspection.

All but two of the homes inspected in the Taunton, Wellington and Minehead areas received one star (adequate) or more, with most in the two star (good) category.

Mrs Joyce, who runs Churchview, in Taunton, and Linden House Nursing Home, in Westford, Wellington, said: "I'm pleased that all the hard work that goes into running a quality care home has finally been recognised."

The star system allow people for the first time to compare care homes across the county.
