THE sky's the limit for Taunton man Jon Trott after being appointed manager of the world famous Red Arrows aeroplane stunt team.
Jon, 39, who was educated at Wellington School, will head the administration and flight planning teams behind the scenes.
He trained as a flight controller after joining the RAF in 1994 and went on to serve at the Control and Reporting Centre at RAF Neatishead as operator and instructor.
He was then posted to the Air Warfare Centre to assist in the evaluation and procurement of new equipment and later moved to RAF High Wycombe.
Jon joined the Red Arrows from a command appointment within the new Control and Reporting Centre at RAF Scampton.
Referring to his new job, he said: "It's my job to keep everything running smoothly so the pilots can perform their displays to millions of people each year.
"I'm looking forward to the challenges ahead."
