POLICE have released images of four people who they believe may be able to help them with their enquiries into a case of theft from a Wellington newsagent.

The incident happened on Thursday March 29 when four people, two men and two women, went into Brocks Newsagents in Rockwell Green.

It is alleged that two women may have cherry-picked various products from around the store, which they placed in their bags.

A man who was wearing an 'I Love NY T-shirt' approached one of the cashiers and asked if he could change some £20 notes for £10 notes.

A second man is said to have distracted another sales assistant by talking about magazines, while the first man confused the first assistant by mixing up different denominations of notes, subtly slipping a quantity of cash into his pocket.

Police have described the four suspects as Asian in appearance.

They would like to hear from anyone who may have been in the Rockwell Green area at the time of the incident who may have seen the four people.

Anyone with information is asked to contact the police at Wellington on 0845-4567000.
